Overview

Customer Notes let you collect a short message from the customer during checkout. Notes are stored on the order, not on the customer profile or subscription.

Requirements

  • A PayPress plan.
  • Customer Notes enabled for that plan.
  • A payment page using the plan shortcode.

Steps

  1. Open the plan edit screen.
  2. Find the Customer Information area.
  3. Enable Collect Customer Notes.
  4. Save the plan.
  5. Visit the payment page.
  6. Enter a note during checkout.
  7. Complete the payment.
  8. Open the Order Details page in WordPress.

Expected Result

The submitted note appears on the Order Details page for that specific order. If no note was submitted, the Customer Notes section does not appear.

Important Notes

Customer Notes are useful for service requests, dedication messages, delivery instructions, setup notes, or donation messages. Notes are order-specific and do not automatically apply to future purchases or subscriptions.

Troubleshooting

If the note does not appear, confirm the setting was enabled before checkout. If the customer left the note blank, no note section is shown. If you need structured fields instead of one note box, use Payment Forms.
