Overview

Payment Forms currently focus on simple, reliable order-level data collection. Several advanced form-builder features are intentionally deferred.

Requirements

  • Understanding of current Payment Forms scope.

Steps

  1. Review the supported field types.
  2. Confirm whether your needed field exists.
  3. Use Customer Notes for simple notes.
  4. Use Payment Forms for supported structured fields.
  5. Watch future releases for advanced form features.

Expected Result

You can decide whether the current Payment Forms feature fits your checkout use case.

Important Notes

Not currently implemented: conditional logic, reusable forms, file uploads, calculations, date fields, date/time fields, address/Google Places fields, multi-step forms, and advanced styling builder.

Troubleshooting

If you need a deferred feature, do not assume it exists because it appears in the roadmap. Build the current checkout around supported fields only.
